According to customs data, in August 2024, China imported 476.79 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month decrease of 10.56%; in August, it exported 2,906.47 tons of titanium materials, a month-on-month increase of 0.52%. From January to August 2024, China's cumulative imports of titanium materials were 4,401.61 tons, an increase of 20.02% year-on-year; from January to August, the cumulative exports of titanium materials were 22,416.56 tons, an increase of 94.80% year-on-year. The total exports of titanium materials increased significantly year-on-year. The products with the largest increase were other unwrought titanium, titanium wire, other wrought titanium and titanium products.

The top three products imported from January to August 2024 are: titanium strips, rods, profiles and profiles, with a cumulative import volume of 1,566.17 tons, accounting for 35.58% of the total; followed by titanium plates, sheets and belts with a thickness of> 0.8 mm, with a cumulative import volume of 833.17 tons, accounting for 18.93% of the total; and titanium plates, sheets, strips and foils with a thickness of ≤ 0.8 mm were imported 786.87 tons, accounting for 17.88% of the total.

1-8 The top three products in the cumulative export volume of titanium materials in the month were titanium plates, sheets and strips with a thickness of> 0.8 mm, with a cumulative export volume of 7,013.72 tons, accounting for 31.29% of the total; followed by titanium bars, rods, profiles and profiles, with a cumulative export volume of 6,968.42 tons, accounting for 31.09% of the total; and other wrought titanium and titanium products, with a cumulative export volume of 2,809.61 tons, accounting for 12.53% of the total.
