GA-SERIES GENERAL GRAVURE INK FOR PLASTIC LAMINATED FILM

GA-series general gravure ink for plastic laminated film is an alcohol-ester soluble made of polyurethane as its main resin, which is typically applicable to gravure printing on BOPP, PET and NY film.

I. Scope of Application

1. Applicable film:

BOPP film with surface tension≥ 38dyn;PET film with surface tension≥ 50dyn;NY film with surface tension≥ 52dyn;Printing grade K coating film (including K cellophane);Printing grade PT cellophane film.

2. Applicable lamination process:

Suitable for the process of dry lamination, solvent-free lamination and PE-extrusion lamination; while not suitable for PP-extrusion lamination process.

Ⅱ. Application Characteristics

1. Excellent printability, suitable for all kinds of gravure printing from low speed to high speed;

2. The printing residual solvents are extremely low, in line with environmental protection, safety, non-toxic and hygienic requirements.

Ⅵ. Notice

1. In practical application, the performance of ink would be affected by the environmental temperature and humidity, printing facility and process, as well as plate making parameters, etc. Please adjust the dilution solvent according to the actual situation.

2. The amount of isopropyl alcohol shall not exceed 20% of the total dilution solvent.

3. Please refer to the instructions in the following appendix for the boiling resistance of GA-series primary ink. If the spot color ink is intended to be used for boiling resistant packaging, please consult our technical department.

4. Please use GP-Series Retort Gravure Ink for Plastic Laminated Film if applied for retort packaging (above 100 °C).

5. In general, curing agent is not required when printing on BOPP or PET substrate under the boiling condition of 100 °C/40 min. However, due to the different adhesive types and laminating conditions applied by various manufacturers, customers are requested to make necessary confirmation during application.

6. When printing on NY film, it is recommended to add the GA-07 Curing Agent in the background white ink as a supplement under the boiling condition of 100 °C/40 min, to obtain more stable bond strength. The amount of curing agent added is generally 3-4% of the original ink.

7. The products marked with "Infiltration" shall not be used for NY-base material, boiled products and solvent-free laminated products; otherwise color migration is likely to occur.

8. Please store the product in a cool and ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
