Ethanol is a kind of organic matter, commonly known as alcohol, the chemical formula is CH3CH2OH (C2H6O or C2H5OH) or EtOH, is a saturated monol with a hydroxyl group, at room temperature and normal pressure is a flammable and volatile colorless transparent liquid, its aqueous solution has the smell of wine aroma, and slightly stimulating.

It is a flammable, volatile, colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature and normal pressure, and its aqueous solution has a special, pleasant fragrance, and is slightly irritating.Ethanol is widely used, and can be used to make acetic acid, drinks, flavors, dyes, fuels, etc.In medical treatment, the volume fraction of 70% —— 75% ethanol is also commonly used as a disinfectant. Is a colorless transparent special body, has a special fragrance smell, volatile. It can miscible with water, chloroform, ether, methanol, acetone and most other organic solvents, flammable, and steam can form an explosive mixture with air.Encounter open fire, high heat energy to cause combustion and explosion.Contact with oxidant Biochemical reactions or cause combustion. In a fire site, hot containers pose a risk of explosion. Its steam is heavier than air and can spread quite far at a lower level, and can reignite in an open flame.

Ethanol is used in industrial materials, disinfection products, organic materials and automotive fuel.Ethanol is particularly useful in industrial applications and due to its relatively high affinity for water and organic matter.Recycling waste ethanol can make acetic acid, drinks, essence, dyes, fuel, etc.In medicine, ethanol with a volume fraction of 70% -75% is also commonly used as a disinfectant, which is widely used in national defense industry, medical and health care, organic synthesis, food industry, and industrial and agricultural production.Ethanol can be used to make acetaldehyde, ethylene-ether, ethyl acetate, ethylamine and other chemical raw materials, but also for the production, dyes, coatings, detergents, etc Raw fuel of products vehicle fuel: ethanol can be transferred into gasoline, as vehicle fuel, yajin sweet sorghum ethanol in China accounts for 10% of gasoline.Ethanol gasoline has been sold in the United States for 20 years.
